Turn visitors into inquiries (CTA)
How to set header, footer, and popup buttons that lead blog readers to inquire or sign up, for the whole blog or per post.
A CTA is a call-to-action button placed in your blog posts. There are three spots.
| Spot | Looks like |
|---|---|
| Header CTA | A small button at the top right of the blog |
| Footer CTA | A box with a heading · description · button below the post |
| Popup CTA | A box that appears after the reader has read a set share of the post |
1. Set it for the whole blog (shared CTA)
- In Blog > Blog settings > Conversion, pick a spot.
- Choose a language tab and fill in the fields.
- Header: button text, URL
- Footer: heading, description, button text, URL
- Popup: heading, description, button text, URL, When to show it (after what % of the post is read), Where to show it (screen corner / center)
- Click Save.
- URLs start with
https://. - Each language is saved separately. Posts in a language left empty don't show that spot.
- Clicking Clear removes that spot in every language.
2. Set it differently per post
On the right side of the post editor, choose a mode under Header CTA, Footer CTA, and Popup CTA.
| Mode | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Use shared | Uses the shared CTA from blog settings as is |
| Off | This post has no CTA in that spot |
| Custom | Enter content used only for this post |
Click Create a shared CTA · Edit the shared CTA to edit the shared values right inside the editor.
Add a button in the middle of a post
In the body, press / and choose In-post CTA to insert a box with a subheading · description · button in the middle of the post.
Check the results
UTM values are added to CTA links automatically (utm_source=blog, with the post URL as the campaign). Visits that move on to your main site appear in Analytics > User inflow > Inflows by UTM.
