Create a blog

How to open a blog with SEO and GEO built in, under your connected site's address (e.g. example.com/en/blog).

A Weekerp blog opens under your connected site's address (e.g. example.com/en/blog). Because it uses the same address as your main site, your blog posts also help your main site show up in search.

Before you start

Your site must be connected to Weekerp. If it isn't yet, start with Add a site. When the site connection is finished, you can go straight to Create a blog from the completion screen.

1. Choose the default language

In the sidebar, open Blog and click Start the blog.

On the Let's set your blog's default language screen, click Use (language), or click I'll pick another language to choose a different one. You can add more languages later.

2. Check the address

You'll see the address where your blog will open (domain/language/blog). Check it and click Yes, got it. Weekerp takes care of connecting the address.

If you need a subdomain address like blog.example.com, click I need to connect it as a subdomain to contact us.

3. Name your blog

  • Blog name (required): Shown as is in the browser tab and in search results.
  • One-line summary (optional): Shown under the name in search results.

Check how it will look in search results in the preview on the right, then click Next.

4. Pick a color

Pick the color for the header button and popup button. If you click Skip, the default color is used. You can change it later in settings.

5. Done

When you see Your blog is connected!, you're done. Your blog will be available at the address shown within 5 minutes. Click Write the first post to start writing right away.

What happens automatically once the blog is created

  • The blog sitemap is added to robots.txt.
  • Each post gets structured data for search engines (FAQ and more).
